$0.00
Marg (Greta) Moll (born Margarethe Haeffner 1884–1977) was a German artist known for her sculpture- but more prolific as a painter and printmaker in her later years. There is a well known portrait of her in The National Gallery by her mentor Henri Matisse- titled Portrait of Greta Moll. Her work incorporated various styles of German art, including Expressionism and Bauhaus.
Her works were bought by museums throughout Germany, but many of them were later removed and destroyed by the Nazis during Hitler’s campaign against so-called degenerate art.
Original color lithograph, paper size approx. 16.5 x 20 inches, hand-signed and numbered by Marg Moll. Edition no. 86/90. Some age wear and creasing at edge but in overall lovely condition. Please see pics for closeups.
